SB1080 MAKING MAJOR CHANGES ON ARIZONA ROADS

It looks like Arizona roads are about to become a lot safer, thanks to Senate Bill 1080. On April 20, the Arizona state House gave final approval to legislation banning teens with a learner’s driving permit from texting or making calls from their cell phones behind the wheel. Passing with a 32-24 margin, SB1080 also extends that restriction to the first six months the driver has their actual Class G license, which is reserved for new drivers.

AFTER 24 YEARS, TENT CITY IS OFFICIALLY CLOSING

Maricopa County’s newly elected sheriff, Paul Penzone, is making major moves in Arizona. After opening in 1993 by then-sheriff Joe Arpaio, Penzone has decided to officially close the doors on Tent City.

US Government Moving Toward Zero Traffic Fatalities in 30 Years

“From this day forward, we start counting down to zero” was the headline this week from the National Safety Council and the US transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx.

With this statement, the US government set into motion a plan that has been carried to the front lines of US politics from a grassroots campaign. Obama’s Vision Zero is adapted from the Swedish multi-national road traffic safety project that aims to achieve a highway system with no fatalities or serious injuries in road traffic. It started in Sweden and was approved by their parliament in October 1997

Four Ways That Car Insurance Will Change In The Future For Arizona Drivers

The saying goes, the only thing constant is change. However, when speaking about the auto insurance industry, not a whole lot has changed in decades. Sure there are new ways of shopping for car insurance, such as online, or on your cell phone, there are even insurance companies who exist only on the internet. But the way insurance companies insure us, pay our claims and charge us hasn’t changed much in decades. We are now on the cusp of witnessing a complete shift in how we will buy car insurance in the future

1. Data-driven car Insurance pricing

As cars get more and more crash avoidance features federally mandated, and even as driverless cars enter the marketplace, the auto insurance industry becomes more aggressive in developing data-driven insurance and pricing models.

O’Rielly Collision Centers is proud to be a Gold Class® collision repair business. The Gold Class recognition indicates that our technicians are trained in the proper repair techniques and procedures that contribute to the complete and safe repair of your vehicle.

There has never been a more important time in the history of the automobile, to choose your auto body repair shop wisely. We are living in an age where automobile construction and engineering are have reach a new zenith of automotive safety, construction and engineering., Onboard computers, sensors and wiring when damaged in an accident, required factory -trained technicians to restore the systems to proper working order. Long gone are the days when cars were built of one type of malleable and pliable steel. Exotic materials such as Ultra High Strength Steel, Aluminum, Titanium and even carbon fiber are fused together to create your car. Each material requires hours and hours of specific training in order to assure a proper and safe repair. Yet no such training is required for an Auto Body Shop to be in business.

As frightening as that may be, it underscores the importance and vigilance on the part of the consumer to ensure that the car they drive is restored to its pre-crash condition. This is where I-Car comes in. I car training is the industry standard for auto body repair, however it is not required for body shops to be in business. Only body shops who care about the safety of their customers provide the time, training and expense of their employees to attend and become I-Car certified technicians.

The highest level of certification for I-car is also its most exclusive and elusive. To achieve I-car gold certification requires that every technician employed by a shop take a battery of certification courses with in a year, and maintains that certification on an ongoing basis. As cars change, technicians must be re-trained to keep up with technical advances.

What it takes to become I-Car Gold Certified

As a Gold Class shop, we require each of our technicians involved in collision repair to take ongoing training every year. This includes classes on new vehicle technologies and the latest repair techniques.
I-Car gold trained technicians are the most trained and up to date technicians in the entire auto body repair industry. When your car is repaired at an I-Car gold certified auto body repair center, you can rest assured that your car is going to be returned to its pre-collision condition by a capable an well trained auto body repair technician.

What I-Car Gold Certified Repairs mean to you the customer

Gold certification means that O’Rielly Collision Centers is one of only 10 percent of all collision repair businesses in the United States to achieve Gold Class status, compared to the majority of Auto Body shops that are not Gold Class. Non-Gold class certified auto body shops may train minimally or not at all. Gold Class shops are trained on how to fix your vehicle right; on what can be repaired and what needs to be replaced; and on how to see hidden damage you may not see.

Two out of three people find a repair shop by talking to friends or relatives. Don’t take chances. Refer your friends and family to O’Rielly Collision Centers and let our trained repair professionals take care of them today!

Thanksgiving is as much about home as it is family. It is a time devoted to giving thanks for what we have, and is also a time when people are more generously giving back.

Some businesses begin their holiday slow downs, and more people take to the highways and byways. It can also be a time when more accidents occur due in part to more people on the roads. At O’Rielly Collision Centers, we actually start to get busier because of an increase in fender benders, minor collisions and major accidents.

But just like you we like to take time out during the Holidays to give thanks to you, our Tucson Arizona area auto body repair customers, and to the Tucson and Green Valley communities.

When you are homeless, thanksgiving is not a time for family, food, football and parades. When you are homeless, Thanksgiving is just another day. But it doesn’t have to always be that way.

First, let me tell you a little about O’Rielly Collision Center:
We believe that we can be most successful by having as little impact on our customers’ lives as possible. If a customer’s collision repair seems uneventful to them, then we have succeeded. We recognize, and remind ourselves constantly, that a customer’s vehicle can be one of their most prized material possessions and a reflection of one’s self and that a collision can therefore be a major life-changing event. We know that our job is to guide the customer through the repair process in a way that minimizes the trauma and disruption associated with an accident and to get their life back to normal as quickly and effortlessly as possible. And, of course, we know that this requires a first quality repair, performed on the schedule promised, with the most cordial service we can muster, and with constant communication of status and any contingencies.
